But whatever or wherever it is located, I have never lost a file that I downloaded. And, as Leo suggests, if it is an important download, I move it to a separate, distinct folder and back it up! I have the same problem but with my mobile. Recently I download some video files. But one or two days latter they are gone from the chrome. So I upgrade it, but facing the same problem.
